For more than 10 years now research in this group focuses on topics like “pulmonary imaging techniques” and “ new pathomechanisms in acute lung failure”. Currently our projects are supported by a grant from the German Research Foundation (DFG). We closely cooperate in several research projects with institutions like the Department of Anesthesia at the University of Pennsylvania, Philadelphia, USA, the Department of Radiology as the Karls-Ruprechts-University in Heidelberg, Germany and the Department for Anesthesiology at the University of Mainz, Germany.
